We are a community who care for the health and survival of these beautiful animals and their habitats.

Nashville Zoo is tons of fun and a great place to see fascinating animals…but there is also a lot of serious conservation work happening here. Our experienced staff is actively involved in research, habitat protection, breeding programs and education initiatives around the globe as well as in our own backyard.

We are dedicated to perserving the wildlife while offering a place for the community to come and enjoy family fun all for a good cause. Services

Nashville Zoo's mission is to inspire a culture of understanding and discovery of our natural world through conservation, innovation and leadership. Nashville Zoo is a progressive and dynamic zoological park located just 6 miles south of downtown Nashville. With just 90 of 188 acres developed, Nashville Zoo is the 9th largest zoo in the country by landmass. The Zoo is one of the top tourist attractions in the state and has been named the Best Regional Attraction and Best Day Trip by The Tennessean.

Backstage Pass Tours

Travel backstage at the Zoo to learn about animal care, behavior and conservation! Backstage Pass gives you behind-the-scenes access to areas not available to the public. These special tours are filled with experiences and information you cannot get anywhere else.

Attractions

We have more than just animals! Come visit the center piece of the park: The historical home with guided tours! Come and pet barn animals at our petting zoo and feed the parakeets at Parakeet Landing. We also have a carousel, a zipline, and a jungle gym just for the kids!

School Field Trips

School group rates apply only to tax-exempt schools, preschools, year-round daycares, head start programs and organized home schools. To qualify for the school group rate, each group must provide a copy of their school's tax-exempt form, have 20 or more students, and register and pay for their visit at least one week in advance.
